We saw all of the lovely presentations from everyone's groups. They were completely wonderful and entertaining! We also received our diplomas and took the walk of shame (fame) and fame (shame).
Thank you all so much for following Girls Who Code in our journey this year. We can't wait to see you in 2017-18!

It has now been 30 min since the last update. We received surprise awards from the mentors such as "BOOKWORM AWARD" and "MOST LIKELY TO RESCUE AN ANIMAL". Then we played hilarious icebreaker games.
Next up, we will present! Today is our last meeting and our presentation day. There will be multiple posts/updates throughout the day! The is is the first.
So far we have three special guests as well as all of our members and volunteers. We're sad that Aimee couldn't be here today, but we hope she's thinking of us and reading the blog! The presentations haven't started yet. but they will soon. Today is our very last meeting! Next week is our presentation, and then the club is over. This week is a lot like the others. As usual, we're all working on our projects and being quiet. Today we had a highlight on Miral Kotb, the founder of iLuminate.
Here is a video about her: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xg1dUhVI9i0 Keep coding! First of all, we apologize for the lack of post last week. This was due to difficulties we would prefer to keep private.
On a happier note, this week the weather has been, and will continue to be, incredible. Very sunny and warm. Spirits are high! Coding is going well. As you may already know, tomorrow is our last week before the big presentation! So that means only two more posts after this one :( Have a great week ya'll! P.S. We would enjoy having more comments, if you feel up to it :) Today we had a very interesting conversation about The Outsiders by S.E. Hinton. We had to read it for school, and it came up with the teachers, who had also seen it.
Great News! Our Facebook page and gmail account are finally up, and so the FACEBOOK/EMAIL page should be, too. See you there! P.S. A short note: we apologize for not posting last week, there were some problems. |
